ICAI Releases Revised Date for CA Intermediate Audit Paper – Exam Now on 31 January 2026

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has now officially announced the revised examination date for the postponed CA Intermediate Group II – Paper 5 (Auditing & Ethics).

Earlier, ICAI had announced the postponement of the Audit paper scheduled on 19 January 2026 due to unavoidable circumstances.

Now, ICAI has clarified the new date.

As per the latest official notification issued by ICAI:

• Earlier Date 19 January 2026 (Monday)
• Revised Date 31 January 2026 (Saturday)
• Exam Time 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (IST)
• Exam Centre Same as allotted earlier

✔️ Admit cards already issued will remain valid for the rescheduled date.

✔️ There is no change in exam timings or centre.

Why Was the Audit Paper Postponed?

ICAI had earlier announced the postponement of the CA Inter Audit paper on 17 January 2026 without mentioning a specific reason.

✅ The rescheduled Audit exam will be held even if the day is declared a public holiday

✅ All other CA examinations remain unchanged
