CA Exam May 2025 Revised Dates Announced – Complete Date Sheet & Historical Reason

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially revised the CA Final and Intermediate May 2025 exam schedule. This change was due to the earlier tension on the India-Pakistan border, which led to security concerns in multiple regions.

Why Were CA Exams Postponed in May 2025?

The initial exam dates clashed with rising geopolitical tensions and the threat of conflict between India and Pakistan. As a precautionary measure, ICAI had postponed several CA Final and Inter exams initially scheduled from 9th May to 14th May 2025. Now that the security situation has improved, a new schedule has been released on 10th May 2025.

Timing & Venue

  • Exam Timings: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (for most papers)
  • For select papers (*): 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • No change in exam centers
  • Previously issued Admit Cards remain valid

What About CA Foundation Exams?

There is no change in the Foundation schedule. The CA Foundation May 2025 exams will be conducted as per the earlier notified dates:
- 15th, 17th, 19th & 21st May 2025

Important Notes for Students

  • Even if a public holiday is declared on any revised exam date, the exams will still be conducted.
  • Stay updated via the official ICAI website www.icai.org.
  • Candidates should prepare according to the new dates and utilize the extra preparation time wisely.
