CA Intermediate Registration Routes 

There are two ways to register for the CA Intermediate course offered by the ICAI. The Foundation Route and the Direct Entry Route are the options available to students; each has special criteria and benefits. There are two ways to enroll in the CA Intermediate course offered by ICAI:

  • Foundation Route

This route is a three-tiered approach, comprising CA Foundation, CA Intermediate, and CA Final. Students who clear the CA Foundation level can directly register for CA Intermediate Jan 2027, regardless of their educational background.

  • Direct Entry Route

Designed for graduates or final-year students, this route allows direct registration for the CA Intermediate course. Eligible candidates can bypass the CA Foundation exam and proceed straight to the Intermediate level.

The CA Intermediate course registration is valid for 5 years. To extend it for another 5 years, a fee of ₹400 is payable. After the initial 5-year period, additional fees (as determined by the authorities) must be paid to maintain a valid registration.
