The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the examination schedule for the CA Foundation May 2025 attempt. Aspiring chartered accountants who have registered for the CA Foundation course must submit their exam forms within the specific timeframe.

Aspiring chartered accountants can submit their application forms for the CA Foundation May 2025 exams on the official ICAI website. The application form will be available from March 01, 2025. Candidates can submit their forms online without a late fee until March 14, 2025, and with a late fee of Rs 600 until March 17, 2025. It is advised that candidates submit their forms within the stipulated timeframe to avoid any last-minute hassles.

The CA Foundation examination for the May 2025 attempt is scheduled for 15th, 17th, 19th and 21st May 2025 . The examination will include four papers, with two papers conducted in the morning session and two papers conducted in the afternoon session. The examination schedule is as follows:

Before applying for the CA Foundation Exam, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements. Below are the key criteria:

1. Educational Qualification:

• The candidate must have passed or appeared in the Class 12 examination from a recognized board.
• Candidates who have registered with the ICAI for the Foundation Course on or before January 1, 2025, are eligible.

2. Registration with ICAI:

• Registration for the CA Foundation Course must be completed at least four months before the examination date.

3. Exemptions:

• Students who are graduates/postgraduates or have passed the intermediate level of ICAI or ICSI are exempt from the CA Foundation Exam.

Step 1: Register on the ICAI Portal

• Visit the ICAI official website: https://www.icai.org.
• Log in using your student registration number and password. If not registered, create an account.

Step 2: Access the Examination Form

• After logging in, navigate to the "Examination" section.
• Select the "Apply for CA Foundation Exam May 2025" option.

Step 3: Fill in the Details

• Provide personal details such as name, contact information, and educational qualifications.
• Enter your ICAI registration number.
• Choose your preferred examination center and medium of instruction (English or Hindi).

Step 4: Upload Documents

• Recent passport-size photograph 
• Scanned signature.
• Class 12 mark sheet or equivalent certificate.

Step 5: Pay the Exam Fee

• Use a credit card, debit card, or net banking to pay the fee.

Note: An additional late fee will be applicable if the exam form is submitted after the last date without a late fee but before the final submission deadline. This late fee is ₹600 for Indian candidates and US $10 for overseas candidates. It’s important to note that this late fee is in addition to the regular examination fee, and candidates must pay this fee to complete the exam form submission process.

Step 6: Submit and Print the Form

• Review all entered information before submission.
• Submit the form and download a copy for your records.
• No need to send a physical copy to ICAI unless specified.

Please note that candidates who make payments after the exam form submission deadline will incur an additional late fee. This late fee is applicable for both domestic and international candidates, except the fee amount.

Correction Window 1 is available free of charge, allowing students to make necessary corrections without incurring any additional fees. However, Correction Window 2 is subject to a fee of ₹1000, which students must pay to make changes to their exam form during this window.
