CA Foundation Exam Registration Process: Eligibility, Important Dates, Fees

The CA Foundation is the first stage in the process of becoming a Chartered Accountant (CA); subsequent levels include the Intermediate and Final. In order to become a CA, students must pass all three phases.

CA Foundation 2023 Eligibility

All students who took the 12th-grade exam are qualified for registration in the foundation exam for chartered accountants. Students from the science and arts streams are also eligible for the CA foundation exam and can apply with the same enthusiasm as they are because they have an advantage over commerce students due to their analytical approach, even though students from the commerce stream have an advantage in syllabus knowledge.

The exam to become a CA is the CA Foundation course 2023. Students may register for the foundation course test after taking the class 12th examination administered by an examination body established by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government as comparable there.

You are excluded from this level and may register immediately at the intermediate level under the ICAI CA Direct Entry Scheme if you are a graduate or postgraduate who is inclined to enter this profession.

 How to register for the CA Foundation

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, or ICAI, has a step-by-step process for the CA Foundation Registration.

ICAI needs your contact information.

1.   For registration, provide your name, date of birth, father's name, mail address, and any other required information.

2.   When you enter your information and press Enter, an OTP page will appear.

3.   Input the OTP that was sent to your registered mobile phone.

4.   Your login information will be sent as an SMS to your registered mobile number after you submit your OTP.

5.   You will successfully register with the ICAI by doing this.

6.   To continue with the process, log in to ICAI using these credentials.

7.   Click to register for the CA Foundation after logging in.

8.   Complete the CA Foundation application with all of your information.

9.   Enter every document you've scanned into the CA Foundation window.

10.   Click Enter once all of your proof has been submitted.

11.   You will be directed to the CA Foundation payment gateway.

12.   Your registration will be approved once you have paid the CA Foundation's registration fees.

13.   Take a printout of your registration fee invoice for the CA Foundation.

14.   CA Once CA Foundation Registration is complete, study materials for the Foundation exam will be emailed to your registered address.

Documents Required for CA Foundation

Students who are appearing for the CA foundation examination will need to submit the below-mentioned documents

  • Admit Card with attestation/Mark sheet issued by the board of school education.
  • Passport-size photograph of the candidate.
  • Proof of Nationality for NRI students.
  • For special categories attested certificate of proof of special certificate.
  • 10th mark sheet.

Above mentioned documents are needed to be submitted by the candidates for the CA Foundation exam. Special certificates are needed only if the candidate is in need of them.

Students need to pay the registration amount for the CA Foundation course fees. After the completion of payment, the candidate will receive the admit card.

How to Check the Status of the May 2023 CA Foundation Registration?

Two times a year, the CA Foundation exams are held. Once registered, the CA Foundation registration is good for three years or six tries. Additionally, you can revalidate your registration for Rs 300 every three years.

How long is the registration for the CA Final Exam valid?

The CA Exam registration at all levels is valid for a set amount of time, during which the CA student must finish the necessary training and pass the tests.

 After registering for the CA Foundation

  • You will receive your registration letter for the CA Foundation following the registration of the CA foundation. Please bring your letter of registration with you to the exam.

  • You can utilize your registration letter to attend your exam under specific circumstances if your admit card is misplaced.

  • The candidates have also been encouraged by ICAI to bring their letter of registration for the CA foundation test for the same reason.

  • On the same website you used for CA registration, ICAI.org.in, you can get your registration letter.

 Following registration for the CA Foundation, what to do

  • After the CA Foundation's registration process is complete,

  • The ICAI will give participants 4 months to finish the CA foundation syllabus.

  • To pass your CA foundation in one attempt, you must complete your course material within these four months.

  • If your initial attempt was unsuccessful, you can try again in November or December, and so on.

  • Take time off from work to study for your CA foundation coursework.

  • Don't forget to bring your government ID and other relevant documents, such as your admit card, to the exam center so they may be verified before the exam.
