ICAI CA Inter, Foundation Result 2026 Date Announced: CA January results by March 8 @ icai.nic.in

The CA Intermediate result is the most-awaited moment for thousands of students who appeared for the Jan 2026 attempt across India. The most probebly, ICAI will announce the CA Intermediate result on 8th March, 2026. The candidate can check their result on the ICAI portal, i.e., icai.nic.in.

The CA Intermediate result includes subject-wise marks, qualifying status, and rank details (if applicable). Candidates who qualify for the CA Intermediate level will be eligible to register for the CA Final course. As per the revised examination schedule of ICAI, the CA Intermediate examination will now be conducted thrice a year, in January, May, and September sessions, to provide more flexibility to the students.

Process to Check the Result of CA Intermediate Jan 2026

Those candidates who appeared for the CA Intermediate exam Jan 2026 and are now waiting for the result, follow these simple steps to check and download the result. 

Step 1: First of all, Go throught the ICAI portal, icai.org.

Step 2: Then click on the “CA Intermediate Result Jan 2026”.

Step 3: Enter your roll number and registration number. 

Step 4: Enter the CAPTCHA code shown on the screen.

How to Check the CA Intermediate Merit List Jan 2026

• Go to the ICAI website, i.e., icai.org or icai.nic.in.
• Click on the “CA Intermediate merit list” and select the Intermediate examination. 
• Enter the roll number/registration number of the CA Intermediate exam and enter the CAPTCHA code. 
• Click on the submit button. 
• The CA Intermediate merit list will be displayed on the screen.

What After CA Intermediate Result Jan 2026?

After qualifying the CA Intermediate exam, candidates can enroll for CA Articleship Practical Training for 24 months. To be eligible to register for CA Final, candidates will have to qualify both the groups of CA Inter and also complete ICITSS under the new scheme. Candidates will have to complete two years of articleship. 

Once the articleship is over, candidates must complete a study period of six months before appearing for the CA final examination. Candidates must complete their CA Final registration before starting their study period. Candidates who could not qualify for the CA Inter January 2026 exam can start preparing for the next CA Inter May 2026 session.

CA Intermediate Merit/Rank Certificate 

ICAI has also published the CA Intermediate 2026 merit list or rank certificate. ICAI releases CA Intermediate Rank certificates as far as the 50th rank on an All-India basis. CA intermediate rank certificates are sent to the respective regional offices for further dispatch to the candidates. To get a rank certificate, candidates are also required to have the following:

• The need is to pass the examination on one attempt.
• No exception should have been made for any paper.

Verification of CA Intermediate Marks for Jan 2026

If you are not satisfied with your result, you can apply for the recheck of the CA Intermediate answer sheet. The verification window will be open after a few days when the CA Intermediate result wil we announced, ICAI will notify through the official notification. 

CA Inter Result Marks Verification Fees 

CA Intermediate Verification Fee to check your answer papers. 100 for each paper, but it is Rs. 400 for a whole group or both groups of papers. After the announcement of the results, you have to apply within a month. Provide your roll number, address, and papers you want to check. 

Apply online and pay using cards or digital wallets. Remember, you cannot ask to reevaluate the papers, and they will not accept the manual application for ICAI revaluation.
