You can generally only modify your selected city, group, medium of preference, and syllabus choice. Making adjustments during this window will not add you extra cash or earn you a refund. This correction window has existed since May 2015 for all exam levels, whether you are in the Foundation, Intermediate, or Final stages.

Steps to CA Final Exam Form Correction 2025

In case you're required to make alterations to your CA Final Exam Form, you should adhere to the procedures laid down step by step by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Below is the process you can follow:

Step 1: First, log in to your student account on the ICAI Exam Portal. You can get to the portal by accessing http://icaiexam.icai.org. On this page, use your registration number and password to log in.
Step 2: After being logged in, go to the window of correction from your dashboard. Find the link that reads "Click here for corrections in ICAI application" and click on it. It will take you to the page where you can edit your application form.
Step 3: In the window of correction, you'll be required to cross-check the details in your application form. The details include examination, barcode/control number, registration number, name, group applied, medium opted, region of exam center, exam center, ICAI examination center code, and CA final exam center zone.
If all seems fine, go ahead and click on "No change required." But if there are errors you need to correct, click on "Changes required."
Step 4: After you've pinpointed the mistakes in your application form, you can now correct them. You'll be given the choice of modifying three particular fields: Medium Preferred (selecting between Hindi or English), Exam Center (selecting another city or zone), and Group (selecting from the first/second group to both groups or vice versa). Also, if you've shifted from the old syllabus to the new one, you can modify your syllabus accordingly.
Step 5: To guarantee accuracy, cross-check the fields after making the required adjustments. Corrections are shown in red in the preview section, where you can review the modified fields. After you're happy with the modifications, click "Final Submit" and enter the one-time password (OTP) that was sent to your registered email address and mobile number.
Step 6: You might occasionally need to turn in a handwritten application. If so, a scanned copy of the handwritten application that is signed by you and written in running handwriting—not all capital letters—must be uploaded. The scanned image must be less than 200 KB and in JPEG format. The application must be in Hindi if your exam is in Hindi; if not, it should be in English. Before scanning, be sure you sign the paper and include your name, registration number, roll number, and the month or year of the exam.
Step 7: Lastly, you can submit the application form after you've finished all the essential stages and made the necessary revisions. Make sure to click "click here to print page" to obtain a printout of the correction slip following the final submission. It is crucial to remember that once the final submission is finished, it cannot be altered. Furthermore, ICAI no longer charges for Correction Window-II; candidates are only permitted to make one free correction to their first tests.
